The Fashion Sewing Club is built for fashion sewing enthusiasts. It features a mix of members-only live Q&As and at least two live video sessions per month, during which members can send comments or questions in advance. If you cannot join the live session, replays are available immediately.
This class is designed to give you the power to create a pair of jeans that is uniquely yours. Whether you’re a beginner or an advanced sewer, you can sew at your own pace, fitting the class into your busy schedule. You will learn what fabric types are best, fitting for your body, the construction of the jeans, and fine details to give your jeans a designer look. A PDF pattern size of 0-34W is included with the cost of the class, giving you the flexibility to work on your jeans whenever and wherever you want.
In this pant sloper fitting class, you will learn to fit a pant sloper, turn the sloper into a pattern, and use it as a guide to work with other pant patterns. A sloper is a pattern used as a base. From this pattern, you can design multiple styles. You will have the tools to create a well-fitted outfit by fitting a sloper to your body shape. This is a crucial step, as a well-fitted sloper is the foundation for all your designs. The class includes my base pant sloper pattern for you to start your fitting process, several detailed lessons, and the ability to move along at your own pace.
In this class, you will learn how to alter pants you are creating from any pattern or if you are transforming a ready-to-wear garment. You will learn how to choose the correct hem for the style of pants you need to modify. Techniques in this class include sewing a blind hem on a sewing machine, serger, or blind hem machine and hemming pants shorter in the front to create a smaller break.
This class teaches the steps and techniques needed to sew a hem on a pair of pants, dress, or skirt when you want to add a slit or a curved hem. You will also learn how to add a facing to a hemline. This class will up your fashion game, whether you are sewing a new pattern or changing ready-to-wear garments.
This class starts with fitting tips for knit tops, including bust, hip, and neckline, working with darts and bicep adjustments. You will also learn techniques for sewing and hemming knits with a sewing machine and a serger. An additional bonus focuses on how to take a simple t-shirt pattern and design different styles.
In the basic leggings virtual class, you can access over 10 lessons and download the included pattern in sizes XXS to 5X. This class includes instructions on how to sew the pattern, capture your measurements and adjust them for ease, and use pattern hacks to create unique designs.
